My first and only attempt at painting a mermaid lead to this dark illustration of an aquatic woman chained and bolted within the ruins of an ancient city. I imagine whatever she did to get chained to the ocean floor has something to do with the parasite growing out of her neck. Evil lies beneath the waves and beneath the skin.
This is a 12 x 18 inch luster finish print of an original oil painted illustration by Eric Wilkerson.
